The Macaronesian volcanic territory is the place where an impressive stairway leads to the sky of Madeira, for the adventurous travelers who are prepared to climb between ridges to reach the top.
The sensational route leads to the roof of Madeira, the emblematic Pico Ruivo, at 1,862 meters above sea level. At the Pedra Rija viewpoint, a steep staircase rises to the top of a rocky outcrop that reaches to the sky.
