Portugal news - Cristiano Ronaldo, the Captain of Portugal’s national football team, described how he views his future plans and the future of Portugal’s national football team in an interview in Portugal’s football city.

Portugal’s football city, Oeiras, in the district of Lisbon, is the place where Cristiano Ronaldo described how he sees his future and that of Portugal’s national football team, while his team was preparing for the double qualifying round for the 2024 European Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo has become philosophical, and he now believes that “Life is dynamic, and you don’t know what can happen. Life has to be lived in the moment.”

His views about his future plans are that “I can’t think long term anymore. Anything can happen, something can happen and everything changes. I want to enjoy the moment, aspire to go to the European Championship and have an excellent Euro 2024. And everything else we’ll see. It’s Enjoy the Moment".

How Cristiano Ronaldo, who has achieved 850 goals, perceives Messi is very philosophical as he states that both Messi and himself are equally good, and even very good, since they both changed the history of football. He also clarified to his fans: “Who likes Cristiano doesn’t have to hate Messi and vice versa.”

Both Ronaldo and Messi are no longer based in Europe since Ronaldo now plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and Messi plays for Inter Miami in the US.

The Captain of Portugal’s national football team also talked about the state of Portugal’s national football team and said that all the current controversies and constant reminders about them can only harm Portuguese football. He added that, “I’m Portuguese and that worries me."

Cristiano Ronaldo’s views about the future of Portugal’s national football team are clear as he says, "I wish the Portuguese league were at the top, but it is not, and it will not be. It has the potential to make it to the top four or five, but I don’t believe it will."

Cristiano Ronaldo now has a philosophical stance, as he no longer looks to future possibilities, and he reminds his fans: “Enjoy the Moment!”
