L’Alliance portugaise pour la durabilité de l’aviation décolle - PBN Actualités Portugal – Le gouvernement portugais a formalisé l’Alliance pour la durabilité de l’aviation le 14 janvier et a lancé des appels d’offres pour la production de carburant durable pour l’aviation (SAF), suscitant un intérêt national et international. Avec un financement initial de 40 millions d’euros, provenant des recettes obtenues par le Fonds pour l’environnement grâce au système d’échange de quotas d’émission (ECCE) et à la taxe carbone, le Portugal entend mener dans le secteur des carburants durables mondialement.   Suite à la résolution 147/2024 du Conseil des ministres du 28 octobre 2024, le Portugal a déjà établi la Feuille de route nationale pour la décarbonisation de l’aviation avec des dispositions pour la production de carburants d’aviation durables.   L’Alliance pour la durabilité de l’aviation (ASA) du Portugal réunit un groupe de parties prenantes, dont la communauté scientifique, les compagnies aériennes et les sociétés d'énergie, ainsi que des instituts publics et privés, dans le but d’établir des mesures économiquement viables pour la décarbonisation du transport aérien. Dans le cadre de l’ASA, la Feuille de route nationale pour la décarbonisation de l’aviation (RONDA) a été créée afin de définir la stratégie du Portugal pour la durabilité du secteur de l’aviation.    L’Alliance portugaise pour la durabilité de l’aviation décolle, puisqu’elle comprend déjà un certain nombre d’acteurs, non seulement du secteur de l’aviation mais aussi des associations, des universités, des entreprises actives dans la chaîne d’approvisionnement et le secteur des transports et de la logistique en général.   Le 21 janvier 2025, Menzies Aviation, partenaire de service leader des aéroports et compagnies aériennes du monde entier, a rejoint l’Alliance pour la durabilité de l’aviation au Portugal, en déclarant :   «  Menzies s’engage à renforcer et à développer le marché de l’aviation au Portugal, de manière responsable et durable. Rejoindre l’Alliance du gouvernement portugais pour la durabilité de l’aviation renforce notre engagement à atteindre la neutralité carbone d’ici 2045 dans toute notre chaîne de valeur mondiale. The European Tech Champions Initiative will fund tech scaleups to remain in Europe - Portugal Business News Portugal news – The European Tech Champions Initiative by the European Investment Bank will fund tech scaleups to remain in Europe.   In a move to prevent tech companies from relocating to the US, the EIB intends to make sure European unicorns remain European.   European tech scaleups will be able to obtain funding through the European Tech Champions Initiative (ETCI) that will provide capital to fund Europe’s future Unicorns.   The EIB will also increase investment in venture capital (VCs) and debt and will create a new fund to financing acquisitions and for the listing of tech startups by European companies to strengthen Europe’s capital markets.   The EU funding strategy is to focus on new, climate-friendly technologies, to help Europe stay competitive against China and the US and to help the EU meet its ambitious climate goals of zero net CO2 emissions by 2050.   Tech scaleups that have a target fund size of at least EUR 1 billion may be eligible for funding under the European Tech Champions Initiative. 2 Portuguese companies win nearly 50% of amount allocated for the EU Hydrogen Bank - Portugal Business News Portugal news - Two Portuguese companies win nearly 50% of the amount budgeted for the new European Hydrogen Bank, that is the largest share allocated to a country.   Green hydrogen production in Portugal is given a new boost since the largest share of EU funds for the European Hydrogen Bank has been allocated to two Portuguese companies, namely Galp and Madoqua Power2X.   In November 2023, the European Commission officially launched the European Hydrogen Bank, with a first round budgeted at 720 million euros. Two Portuguese companies were allocated 45.8%, totaling 330 million euros, out of the total amount budgeted, while the remainder will be distributed to five other projects from Spain, Norway and Finland.     Portuguese companies Madoqua Power2X and Galp will receive 245.2 million euros and 84.2 million euros respectively for the new European Hydrogen Bank.   Portugal’s port of Sines is becoming an EU green hydrogen hub and the two new pilot projects by Madoqua Power2X and Galp that will be funded under the European Hydrogen Bank are expected to produce around 511 kilotonnes and 216 kilotonnes of green hydrogen respectively.   The EU has set a target of producing 10 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030 as part of the REPowerEU plan and Portugal is turning out to be a major player for the successful implementation of the European Hydrogen Bank. #portugalnews #newsportugal #greenhydrogenportugal #EuropeanHydrogenBank #Galp #MadoquaPower2X #renewableenergynews
