Here are some of the pledges made by textile companies from different European countries as well as from the United States, as well as the Top 10 countries with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies:
What is the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform?
The EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform sets 6 major priorities to drive the transformation of the Textile ecosystem, namely:
1 - Digitalization & preparation for the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP)
2 - Proactive policy engagement and standardization
3 - Upskilling and re-skilling for the twin transition
4 - Social sustainability
5 - Consumer engagement
6 - Collaborative innovation.

Textile companies from 11 EU Member States and 3 non-EU countries - Switzerland, Türkiye, and the United States - have published pledges for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform. Pledges from non-EU countries, such as from ¨Accelerating Circularity in New York¨, are linked to the EU textiles ecosystem and their pledges are to scale circular systems across global regions.

1 - Belgium
Belgium ranks No. 1 country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
Belgium-based organizations typically have a European scope of action, including the European Apparel and Textile Confederation - EURATEX, the European Textile Services Association - ETSA, RREUSE, and the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry - CEC.
COTANCE has initiatives such as the repositioning of leather as a natural, circular, and responsibly produced material.
BekaertDeslee textile manufacturer pledged to build a fully circular textile value chain through eco-design, increased recyclability, and waste elimination.
TEX IS MORE pledged to establish a collaborative hub for sustainable textile transformation.
TESS GEIE pledged to develop traceability and ensure ethical oversight of textiles outside the EU market by developing auditing of export clients based on strong social, economic and environmental criteria.
Euratex pledged to contribute to scale textile recycling by launching Rehubs Europe to help build up to 250
facilities to recycle textile waste through collaborative projects.

C.L.A.S.S. pledged to contribute to raise consumer awareness through a dedicated campaign called InsideOut.
Rino Mastrotto pledged to contribute to natural resource saving through “Hearth”, its innovative tanning process.
Slow Fiber pledged to embed sustainable textiles education across all school levels through a nationwide experiential training programme.
3 - Germany
Germany ranks 3rd country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
The Partnership for Sustainable Textiles (Dialogue and Impact for Sustainable Textiles) pledged to increase supply-chain transparency for all member companies.
4 - Finland
Finland ranks 4th country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
Finnish Textile & Fashion pledged to strengthen emergency preparedness by liaising with national authorities to define emergency agreements and textile stockpiling needs.
5 - Portugal
Portugal ranks 5th country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
ANIVEC pledged to promote the “Portugal Brand” as a benchmark for ethical, circular and transparent production by positioning the Portuguese Clothing and Fashion Industry as a European reference for sustainability and responsible production. Through at least four international campaigns running until 2030, ANIVEC will promote the “Portugal Brand” in global markets and European decision-making centres, highlighting sustainability as a competitive export factor and reinforcing the reputation of the “Made in Portugal” brand.

Recover pledged to advance Zero Carbon by aligning with science-based decarbonization and enabling Scope 3 reductions.
7 - France
France ranks 7th country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
Adirelounge pledged to implement Digital Product Passports for hand-dyed artisan textiles across all EU-distributed collections by 2027.
8 - Netherlands
Netherlands ranks 8th country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
9 - Austria
Austria ranks 9th country with the highest number of pledges from Textile companies for a more sustainable industry on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
10 - Switzerland
