xAI was founded in July 2023 and has received total funding of USD 22.7 billion. Its last funding round received USD 5.3 billion Series C in July 2025 with SpaceX as lead investor.
The CEO and founder of xAI is Elon Musk and the co-founder is Christian Szegedy. XAI is an artificial intelligence startup that develops AI solutions and tools to enhance reasoning and search capabilities.
