The Revolut group’s global revenues increased to 3.7 billion euros in 2024, up from 2.1 billion euros in 2023, due to revenue growth across all business areas. Revolut registered profits of 934 million euros in 2024, that is more than double the 395 million euros registered in 2023.

Revolut ATMs will offer free cash withdrawals for Revolut customers, competitive FX rates, and card dispensing, while they will also accept cash deposits in the long term.

List of countries where Revolut is launching its first ATMs worldwide:

1 – Spain

Spain is Revolut’s 2nd European market after France with five million Revolut customers. Since Spain remains one of the most cash-reliant economies in Europe, with cash representing over 60% of point-of-sale payments according to the Bank of Spain, it was considered an ideal pilot market for the first Revolut ATMs worldwide.

The first 50 Revolut-branded ATMs will be launched by July 2025 in Madrid and Barcelona.

The first Revolut ATMs worldwide are now being launched at the Primavera Sound festival venue, which is taking place in Barcelona. The Revolut ATM network will then be extended to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Malaga, with the aim of reaching a total of 200 Revolut ATMs in Spain.

2 – Portugal

The second country where Revolut will launch its ATMs is Portugal since it will first open a Revolut branch around August 2025. In Portugal, Revolut intends to operate as a regular bank with traditional banking services as well as integrating with the Portuguese MBWay payment application network and the traditional Portuguese Multibanco ATMs. 

Following this, the launch date of Revolut ATMs in Portugal is expected to be in 2026.

Since Portugal is one of the markets with the highest number of transactions being made in cash, it is considered to be a large market for Revolut ATMs, according to Revolut’s growth director for southern Europe, Ignacio Zunzunegui.

The second main reason why Portugal is one of the first countries worldwide where Revolut ATMs will be launched is the fact that Portugal is the country where Revolut has the largest market penetration, reaching at least 16 to 17% of the total population. In In Portugal, Revolut is specialized in the travel segment and has over 1.5 million customers.

The first cities in Portugal to receive Revolut ATMs in 2026 are Lisbon and Porto due to a high proportion of tourists as potential customers.

3 – Italy

The third country where Revolut is expected to launch its ATMs is Italy with the launch date of Revolut ATMs in Italy to be in 2026.

Since Italy is one of the markets with the highest number of transactions being made in cash, it is considered to be a large market for Revolut ATMs.

4 – Germany

The fourth country where Revolut is expected to launch its ATMs is Germany with the launch date of Revolut ATMs in Germany to be in 2026.

Since Germany is one of the markets with the highest number of transactions being made in cash, it is considered to be a large market for Revolut ATMs.

5 – France

The fifth country where Revolut is expected to launch its ATMs is France since France is Revolut’s No. 1 market globally. Revolut, that already has a bank in Lithuania, Revolut Bank UAB, just opened its new western Europe headquarters in Paris on May 20th, 2025.

Since Revolut has a presence in more than 39 countries, the fintech intends to launch a banking license in all its major markets.

6 – Ireland

Ireland is also expected to be among the first countries where Revolut ATMs will be installed since it is among the list of countries that have the greatest potential to demonstrate that Revolut can be one of the Top 3 financial institutions in the country. The expected timeframe for launching Revolut ATMs in Ireland is around 2028.
