Luxury Brands News Europe - Louis Vuitton is adding the "made in Portugal" label to its products, since the French luxury fashion house has decided to recognize the fact that is has been producing leather goods in Portugal since a long time.
The new direction taken by the Louis Vuitton brand was displayed at the Milan launch of its new accessory designed to store wireless headphones, that is an orange leather owl with the “made in Portugal” label, that is available online for 800 euros.
Since the Louis Vuitton brand is linked to the high quality of Portuguese craftsmanship, the iconic fashion brand is now consolidating Portugal as an integral part of its international network of excellence in the luxury segment of Portugal’s manufacturing sector, according to the Portuguese Association of Footwear, Components, Leather Goods and Related Products Industries (APICCAPS).

The value of exports from Portugal’s leather goods sector was over 353 million euros in 2025, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
