Luxury Watch Brand Seiko will open its first store in Portugal on October 1st and it will be located located on Rua Rosa Araújo that is close to Lisbon´s luxury retail street Avenida da Liberdade.
The choice of Lisbon as the Seiko brand´s new flagship store is due to the fact that Portuguese consumers are increasingly knowledgeable about watchmaking and are showing a greater interest in authenticity, craftsmanship, design and the stories associated with the products they choose, according to Seiko’s Vice President, Yukiaki Suganuma.
The new 125-square-meter Seiko store is Lisbon will allow consumers and watch collectors to discover the luxury watch brand, particularly its more premium ranges. The new Seiko store in Lisbon will feature the main collections, namely King Seiko, Prospex, Presage, Astron, and Seiko 5 Sports, as well as any new and limited edition items that become available.
Through its ongoing partnership with the David Rosas store, the Seiko brand registered a turnover growth of 23% in 2025, followed by a further 28% growth in the first half of 2026. This growth exceeded that of Europe, where the Seiko brand sales cooled due to the slowdown in the luxury goods market.
The Seiko brand in Portugal has not only registered growth in terms of volume, but also in the product mix, with increasing demand for luxury watches.
