Tech funding News Europe - Polish Unicorn InPost enters the capital of Portuguese Bloq.it, a leader in the Parcel Locker networks sector, through a minority stake in the company.

Polish logistics and e-commerce delivery company InPost has exceeded the $1 billion valuation. In January 2021, InPost raised €2.8 billion (nearly $3.2 billion) in the biggest European IPO since 2018 at a valuation of almost $ 6.5 billion and was listed on Euronext Amsterdam.

InPost manufactures and operates automated parcel lockers for e-commerce logistics and complements the operations of Portuguese Bloq.it towards accelerating the world's transition to unattended delivery.

The new partnership between InPost and Bloq.it will deliver more than 20,000 Bloq.it NEXT locker units across Europe.

At the center of the agreement is NEXT, Bloq.it’s flagship off-grid locker unit that is powered by batteries and is fully independent of the power grid or solar panels, making it possible to install lockers in thousands of previously inaccessible locations. Built with durability and a 10-year lifespan, NEXT represents a new standard for parcel locker design and sustainability.

The first NEXT lockers for InPost were already installed in France and the UK in July, and will expand to Italy, Portugal, and Spain by the end of 2025. Over the next five years, the rollout will accelerate across InPost’s key European markets.
