Startup News Europe - Portuguese AI Inspector startup Coalex AI just obtained early-stage funding from AngelsWay in order to streamline inspections and improve online compliance. The new AI watchdog was created by the team that developed two Portuguese unicorns, Talkdesk and Feedzai.

Angels Way is a Portuguese VC with a fund of one million euros that invests 50,000 euros in early-stage Startups including Coalex AI.
What is Coalex AI?
Coalex AI is the new AI watchdog that has developed a platform aimed at real time supervision of decisions made by AI systems. The technology aims to reduce the risks associated with AI hallucinations and ensures compliance with the new European regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act, that will be in force in August this year, and the DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) legislation that establishes digital operational resilience requirements for the financial sector.
Coalex AI targets highly regulated online sectors, such as the financial services sector, as well as the healthcare and the pharmaceutical industries. With this new funding, Coalex aims to accelerate product development and prepare for a new funding round in 2027 to support its international expansion.
