Portugal news - Portuguese AI startup Rows just raised an additional funding of 1.4 million euros, bringing the capital raised in 2024 to 10 million dollars. This brings the total amount of funding raised by Rows since it was founded in 2017 to around 30 million euros.

The additional funding just raised by Rows is an extension of the last funding round led by Indico Capital in May 2024. This new successful extension funding round was due to additional interest in the main round in May and the shareholders are the same except for funding from a new shareholder, namely Explorer.

There is increased market interest in Portuguese AI startup Rows since Artificial Intelligence is transforming the software sector very quickly and users are becoming increasingly demanding. Since the tech company was founded in 2017, the number of users has been growing rapidly to reach over 1 million.

Spreadsheet software company Rows intends to launch a new AI version in September. Its response time will be more than twice as fast, and it will have the capacity to respond to many more tasks and types of tasks. The software will also be able to maintain a conversation and to change previous requests.
