Defence News Europe - The Portuguese Army is testing military drones for NATO deployment with Portuguese Defense Manufacturing company Beyond Vision. The Portuguese drones will be deployed for a NATO mission in Slovakia at the end of this month.
What are the Portuguese drones deployed by NATO?
The Portuguese Army is preparing to send military drones manufactured by Beyond Vision to increase NATO capabilities. Within the framework of Research and Development projects, the Portuguese Army is strengthening the linkages between the operational needs of Ground Forces and the technological capacity of Portugal´s Defence industry.
Portugal´s Army Commander, General Eduardo Mendes Ferrão accompanied the 5th Artillery Regiment to finalize trials on the Mini-UAV manufactured by Beyond Vision that will be part of the 4th National Force Deployed to Slovakia. The Portuguese military drones will operate in a NATO multinational environment that will allow for testing and validation of their capabilities in real-world operational settings.
Portugal is accelerating the transformation of its Armed Forces towards a more innovative and technologically advanced force prepared for future challenges.
