Renewable Energy News Europe - Portuguese Capwatt obtains 56 million euros in Green Funding from financial consortium ING Bank NV – Milan Branch and UniCredit Spa in order to produce Biomethane in Italy:
Portuguese renewable energy company Capwatt, that belongs to Prismore Capital - the Azevedo family holding company, was formerly known as Sonae Capital Industrial. Capwatt provides integrated energy solutions by enhancing synergies between decentralized production, as well as the sale of energy while contributing to a sustainable energy model.

What is the investment of Portuguese renewable energy company Capwatt in Italy?
Portuguese renewable energy company Capwatt will invest in three biomethane plants with a combined production capacity of around 151 GWh per year in central and southern Italy. Biomethane projects in Italy will not only generate a positive impact on local communities but they will also help to avoid around 30,000 tons of CO2e per year.
"Renewable biomethane production projects in Italy aim to valorize livestock effluents and agro-industrial by-products, producing not only high-quality biomethane, but also a natural fertilizer that can be used to replace chemical fertilizers" - Pierlorenzo Monterisi, Head of Biomethane Italy.
