Startup News Europe - Portuguese startup Hope Care Health raises 6 million euros in a Series A funding round led by Iberis Capital, with participation from VDM Capital and existing shareholder Buenavista Equity Partners. Here is what is Portuguese startup Hope Care Health:
The investment raised by Hope Care Health will build capacity to pursue their vision: to make OpMA® the most comprehensive platform for hospital-led care beyond the hospital, powering telehealth and outpatient monitoring units across different healthcare systems.
The next phase will allow Hope Care Health to strengthen their teams, further develop their technology and interoperability capabilities, accelerate AI-enabled functionality, and support larger and increasingly complex outpatient monitoring programs.
What is Portuguese startup Hope Care Health?
Hope Care is a digital health company and the creator of the OpMA® (Outpatient Monitoring Aggregator) platform, a regulated Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that acts as the digital backbone for Telehealth Operations Centres and enhances Hospital-at-Home programs.
Hope Care’s technology is used by healthcare institutions across Europe, with programs in Portugal, France and Switzerland, the first of their German projects starting this September, followed by Romania in Q4 2026.
OpMA® is designed to give healthcare institutions the flexibility to deliver outpatient care on their own terms, through three core capabilities:
- Deploy existing monitoring programs at scale.
- Develop healthcare-defined care pathways with Hope Care technology and support.
- Discover new insights from real-world data.
OpMA® is the commercial name of HCAlert V1.3, a Class IIb Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) certified under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR).
