Portugal tourism news - Taylor Swift fans fill Lisbon hotels and Airbnb accommodation for her concerts on May 24-25, 2024.
Hotel occupancy rates in Lisbon have already increased 20% due to the Eras Tour concerts in May. Taylor Swift will be performing for the first time in Portugal and her international fans have booked hotels and Airbnb accommodation just for the concert days. However, hotel prices have not yet gone up for these dates, contrarily to what happened in Paris and Brussels, according to the President of the Portuguese Hotel Association (AHP). However, rooms cost twice as much during concert days in European capitals according to the newspaper Le Monde. The Taylor Swift concerts in France, where she starts her European tour, are expected to attract more than 250,000 people.
Tourism for concerts and events is on the rise in Portugal and in Europe as a whole, and 2024 could break new records.
