Portugal news - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Netherlands-Portugal has signed a partnership agreement with Portugal Business News for developing trade and investment between the Netherlands and Portugal.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Netherlands-Portugal (CCINP), that was formerly known as PortHollandia since its launch in 2019, was rebranded in 2023. Its Honorary Chairperson is the Ambassador of Portugal to the Netherlands, H.E. Clara Nunes dos Santos, since October 2023.
CCINP is focused on establishing strong business ties between the two countries that share a long history. The personal ties between the two countries are strengthened by the fact that the current Queen of the Netherlands, Máxima, who is the wife of King Willem-Alexander, is of Portuguese descent through her father's side, being a descendant of King Afonso III of Portugal, according to Business Insider.
With a physical presence in the Netherlands, the CCINP promotes Portuguese commercial interests and acts as a contact point for both Dutch and Portuguese investors. The organization’s stakeholders are entrepreneurs and companies from various business sectors who work together to promote a common vision while establishing strong ties with entrepreneurs, institutions, companies and organizations in both countries and in the region. The organization works proactively on strengthening ties between the Galicia-Portugal and the Benelux-Euro regions, including the Portuguese-speaking and Dutch-speaking markets.
The CCINP fosters new partnerships through consultancy services and institutional liaison with a Trade Envoy Program in different markets, while organizing business missions and signing cooperation agreements with both public and private entities that are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals.
Through its partnership with Portugal Business News, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Netherlands-Portugal will strengthen the cooperation between the Portuguese and Dutch business sectors. This includes enhanced business network expansion aimed at boosting the flow of trade and investment and at creating synergies between the countries where both parties are present.
