Tech News Europe - Vodafone has chosen Portugal for its new Global Cybersecurity Hub, according to an announcement dated July 29, 2026:
Vodafone´s new Global Cybersecurity Hub will be located in Lisbon and will serve to protect Vodafone's customers, networks, and services worldwide. Vodafone´s Global Cyber Centre (GCC) will focus on emerging areas of cyber risk, such as AI and quantum security, to respond to future cyber threats.
Vodafone believes that global threats demand a global cybersecurity capability for the resilience of services provided to customers, while the protection of their data, connectivity, and digital trust are central priorities in an increasingly complex threat environment.
Vodafone´s new Global Cybersecurity Hub in Lisbon strengthens Portugal's role as a hub for talent and innovation in the field of cybersecurity. The choice of the Portugal for Vodafone´s Global Cyber Centre (GCC) recognizes the high quality of its professionals and the dynamism of the national technological ecosystem.
