Automotive News Europe – Here is the percentage of Electric Vehicles (EVs) by type for passenger cars sold in Portugal in 2025, according to ACAP.

 

From January to October 2025, 68.4% of newly registered passenger cars in Portugal were powered by other types of renewable energy, namely electric and hybrid.

 

From January to October 2025, passenger car registrations for all types of energy in Portugal totaled 187,701 units, which translates into a positive variation of 8.4 percent compared to the same period in 2024.

3 – Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs)
