Infanta Maria Francisca is the Duchess of Coimbra and a member of the Portuguese royal family. She is the daughter of Duarte Pio, the Duke of Braganza and of Isabel, the Duchess of Braganza. Princess Maria Francisca is the third in the line of succession to the Portuguese throne. Her father, Duarte Pio João Miguel Gabriel Rafael de Bragança, was born in Switzerland in 1945 and would be recognized as the legitimate heir to the Crown of Portugal if the country were a monarchy.
