Portugal’s amazing Lusitanian horse fair - Portugal Business News Portugal News – Portugal’s amazing Lusitanian horse fair, that takes places every year on November 1 – 11th, is a must-see event for families.   Portugal’s national horse fair is a yearly event that takes place in Golegã, that is a one-hour drive north of Lisbon.  This renowned equestrian event includes horse riders in historic costumes, spectacles and music for adults and children alike. The show is held free of charge and includes rallies, raids, equestrian games, championships, carriage marathons and exhibitions.   The official ceremony, that is on November 8th at noon is followed by typical Portuguese dances and music. Catterton fund, an investment vehicle of Louis Vuitton (LVHM) for 120 million euros. EDP Renewables, that is headquartered in Madrid and traded on Euronext Lisbon under EDPR, has chosen Portugal’s Alentejo region to build its largest photovoltaic (PV) plant in Europe, the Sobreira photovoltaic plant. Portugal’s new PV plant will have an installed capacity of 242 MWp and an average annual electricity production of 418 GW/h. The EDPR Sobreira PV plant will be a hybrid project, as it will inject its electricity into the grid through the connection point attached to the Alqueva II hydroelectric plant. This will allow solar energy to be injected into Portugal’s electricity grid during the day, while hydroelectric energy will be injected into the electricity grid at night.
