Portugal and Spain commit to high-speed rail links for the 2030 FIFA World Cup - Portugal Business News Portugal news - Portugal and Spain commit to high-speed rail links for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.   During the Luso-Spanish Summit held in Portugal, Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, signed 11 agreements for building a sustainable future and cooperation between the two States.     Concerning the 2030 FIFA World Cup that which will be hosted by Portugal, Spain and Morocco, Pedro Sánchez stated the commitment between the two countries for the high-speed rail links to be ready on time.   The high-speed rail link between Lisbon and Madrid will make it possible to travel between the two capitals in 3 hours.  Moreover, with the high-speed rail link between Porto and Lisbon, travel time will take 1 hour and 15 minutes. The third high-speed rail link will connect Porto to Vigo within 50 minutes.    The high-speed rail link between Lisbon and Madrid   means that there will be a competitive alternative to daily flights that now link Lisbon to Madrid in 40 minutes, and Porto to Lisbon in 20 minutes.   Prime Minister Luís Montenegro stated that Portugal’s priority is the high-speed link between Lisbon-Porto-Vigo-Madrid, recalling that the first section of this link has already been awarded. This Liminal, mostly from the Finger Lakes area and from the 2021 and 2022 harvests, is primarily golden russet blended with Newtown Pippin and Geneva Tremlett’s, an old cider variety.
