Portugal investment news - Christian Louboutin invests in a second hotel in Portugal.

Christian Louboutin is investing in a second hotel in Melides, that is located in the Setúbal district in southern Portugal. Louboutin’s new boutique hotel will have 8 rooms and is expected to open in the Summer of 2024.

Following the success of Christian Louboutin’s first hotel in Portugal, Vermelho hotel (meaning Red hotel), the famous French designer is investing in a boutique hotel that overlooks the dazzling white beach and sparkling lagoon of Portugal’s celebrity hotspot Melides.

Where do celebrities and royalty go on holiday in Portugal?

Melides in Portugal is the trending celebrity destination since it is a place where celebrities and royalty can go and relax without drawing media attention. Prince Harry and Meghan enjoyed a top-secret holiday in Melides in southern Portugal in September 2023 since it is the location of the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club resort where Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, works in sales and marketing.

Melides in the distict of Setúbal, that is located in Portugal’s pristine Alentejo region, is the new celebrity hotspot with its empty stretches of golden sand overlooking a lagoon where dolphins can be seen. Melides is surrounded by a preserved natural environment where the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve and the Arrábida Natural Park are located.
