Continente Portugal wins European Excellence Award

Portugal brands news - Continente Portugal won the European Excellence Award for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) body Missão Continente.
Missão Continente, the first Portuguese retail company to launch a CSR report, won the prestigious European Excellence Award (EEA) 2023 for its Annual Report & CSR Report.
The report gives a detailed analysis of the social projects that were carried out and that reached 12,492 beneficiaries with the involvement of 26 volunteers. The health projects segment reached 6,210 beneficiaries with the involvement of 700 volunteers, while the education projects reached 70,704 students and 5,110 beneficiary teachers from 655 schools throughout Portugal.
Through Missão Continente, surplus food from Continente stores is donated with the contribution of the Portuguese people with the motto: “For great causes, great missions!”
