Portugal obtains EUR 147.3 million from live shows

Portugal concerts news - Portugal has obtained 147.3 million euros in box office revenue from live shows in 2022, that is the highest value since 1979 according to Portugal’s Statistics Office INE.
Live shows in Portugal, including concerts, theatre, and dance, have registered a strong recovery with a record number of 14.9 million spectators in 2022. While a large number of tickets were offered, the total revenue of 147.3 million euros was generated by the sale of 6.6 million tickets.
The average price of tickets for live shows in Portugal reached 22.2 euros in 2022, that is, eight euros more expensive than in 2021. Pop/rock concerts had the highest ticket price with an average price of 35.2 euros, while circus shows were the cheapest with an average price of 5.2 euros.
