Defence & Space News Europe - Portuguese Neuraspace has raised 15.6 million euros for European Space Defence in a funding round led by LINCE CAPITAL, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners, together with funding awarded under the Recuperar Portugal Plan, according to an announcement dated August 5th, 2026:
The European Space environment is becoming increasingly congested, contested and competitive. Alongside rapidly growing collision risks, satellite operators now face cyber attacks, radio-frequency interference, GNSS spoofing and jamming, and increasingly sophisticated counterspace activities that require continuous operational awareness and rapid decision support.
With the new investment raised by Neuraspace, the Portuguese Space company is positioning itself as one of Europe's leading providers of AI-enabled Space Domain Awareness and Space Traffic Management, through the following fields:
✅ Expansion of the Neuraspace AI platform
✅ Autonomous mission operations
✅ Proprietary optical sensing infrastructure
✅ Growth of NeuraspaceDEF for Governmental and Defence sectors
"When Neuraspace was founded, our mission was to make Space safer. That mission has evolved with the operational reality. Today, protecting satellites means addressing both accidental risks and intentional threats. Safety and security are no longer separate challenges - they are two sides of the same operational problem." - Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace.
