Investment News Europe - Portuguese Unicorn TEKEVER just raised USD 580 million in a Series D investment round led by University of California Investments, marking UC Investments’ first direct investment in Europe, with the participation of Baillie Gifford, Merlyn Advisors, Crescent Cove Advisors LP, Ventura Capital and Iberis Capital. This investment round raises the valuation of TEKEVER to USD 6.4 billion.


TEKEVER´s new funding round will support their next phase of growth, that is expanding their international presence, strengthening their industrial and technological capabilities, and accelerating strategic acquisitions. TEKEVER intends to strengthen their position as Europe’s leading provider of AI-powered autonomous systems, delivering sovereign technologies that contribute to the security and resilience of democratic societies.


TEKEVER, that is headquartered in Portugal, is leading the future of AI-driven autonomy across civil and Defence missions in Europe. The Portuguese Unicorn was founded in 2001 with expertise in Software, Electronics, Communication and Aerospace, and employs over 1,300 talented people.
