Satellite Copernicus images of Greece, Italy & France

Environment News Europe - Here are beautiful Satellite images of Greece, Italy and France taken by Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite that was successfully launched on 15 September 2026:
These satellite images of Greece, Italy and France taken by Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite show its versatility with images of vegetation and chlorophyll indices, algal pigment concentration, land-surface temperature, and sea-surface height. Sentinel-3C satellite carries an Ocean and Land Color Instrument (OLCI), which observes ocean color, vegetation, and atmospheric properties; a Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR), which measures surface temperatures and enables the monitoring of vegetation, clouds, and fires; and a Synthetic Aperture Radar Altimeter (SRAL), supported by a Microwave Radiometer (MWR), which provides precise measurements of sea level, waves, ice, and inland waters.

The above satellite image of France taken by Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite shows the extremely high land-surface temperature of France in June 2026.

The above satellite image of Italy taken by Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite shows the vegetation and terrestrial chlorophyll index of Italy in September 2026.

The above satellite image of Greece taken by Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite shows the normalized vegetation index of Greece in September 2026.
