Investments in Setúbal Port reach EUR 114 million according to Negócios. The CEO of Portos de Setúbal (APSS) stated that the ongoing projets will include better railroad access, the extension of the roll-on roll-off terminal that will improve maritime access and facilitate the supply of electricity to vessels that are moored.

Additional projects include a private investment of EUR 40 million to develop the Sapec dry bulk terminal in 2026 as well as a multi-use terminal with a 300 metres’ loading bay.

These investments will increase port activity and will develop the Ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra to become a hub for the region.
