What is the Startup Summit Lisbon official attempt to set a Guinness World Record?
Almost 1,000 startups from around the world will pitch their ideas on the Startup Summit Lisbon stage in a 48-hour marathon to set a Guinness World Records title. The officially approved record attempt will take place on September 16–17, 2026 with founders able to participate either remotely or in person.
Every selected founder will receive equal stage time to pitch live to a global audience of investors, sharing what they are building, the problem they solve, and the support they need next – creating a global showcase for early-stage companies across AI, SaaS, fintech, climate tech, healthtech, cybersecurity, and deeptech.
Applications for the Startup Summit Lisbon Guinness World Record marathon are open to pre-seed, seed, early-stage and Series A startups in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), SaaS, fintech, climate tech, healthtech, cybersecurity, deeptech, business software and other emerging technology sectors. In addition to participating in an official attempt at a Guinness World Records record, the founders will also be featured on the online showcase for up to one year, providing an additional opportunity to share their company with investors, partners, clients and the global startup community.
