American actor Robert de Niro will soon open a Nobu hotel in Lisbon’s luxury avenue. The hotel chain, that comprises 17 hotels globally, is owned by Robert de Niro and his two partners, world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa and producer Meir Teper.
The Nobu Hotels brand is the epitome of modern luxury blended with minimalist Japanese tradition. Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade is synonymous with prestige, as historical 19th century buildings provide the perfect backdrop for luxury boutiques. Lisbon’s rich cultural venues and historical landmarks are only a short walking distance away from the trendy avenue, enticing shoppers to visit the Praça do Comércio that overlooks the Tagus river, the São Jorge castle and downtown Baixa.
