Business News Europe - Here are the Top 10 sectors of high-growth companies in Europe, according to the report Key Figures on European Business 2026 published by Eurostat on May 28th, 2026:
What is a high-growth company?
A high-growth company is defined as one that has at least 10 employees and whose number of employees grows on average by more than 10% per year over a 3-year period.
10.5% of all enterprises with 10 or more employees in the EU’s business economy were high-growth companies in 2023, mostly in the ICT sector with 16.5% of all companies in this sector being high-growth companies.
Top 10 sectors of high-growth companies in Europe:

The ICT sector ranks No. 1 in the ranking of the Top 10 sectors of high-growth companies in Europe with a 16.5% share of high-growth companies in the sector in the EU.
2 - Arts, Entertainment & Recreation sector
The Arts, Entertainment & Recreation sector ranks 2nd in the ranking of the Top 10 sectors of high-growth companies in Europe with a 14% share of high-growth companies in the sector in the EU.
3 - Accommodation & Food Service sector
