1 - JUPITER Booster supercomputer – Germany
Europe’s No. 1 fastest supercomputer in 2025 is the JUPITER Booster supercomputer from Germany, with 4,801,344 cores and a peak theoretical performance of 930.00 PFlop/s or Petaflops. One petaflop is equal to 1 quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) calculations per second.
Germany’s JUPITER Booster ranks fourth fastest supercomputer globally. JUPITER is located at the Forschungszentrum Jülich campus in Germany and operated by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre.
Up to now, the EuroHPC JU has procured ten state-of-the-art supercomputers, located across Europe, including JUPITER that is located at the Forschungszentrum Jülich campus in Germany and operated by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. Soon to be capable of delivering 1 ExaFLOP of computing power, JUPITER will become Europe’s first Exascale supercomputer.

The manufacturer of the HPC6 supercomputer is Fujitsu.

Europe’s 3rd fastest supercomputer in 2025 is the Alps supercomputer from Switzerland, with 2,121,600 cores and a peak theoretical performance of 574.84 PFlop/s or Petaflops. One petaflop is equal to 1 quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) calculations per second.
The manufacturer of the Alps supercomputer is HPE.
4 – LUMI supercomputer – Finland

Leonardo is a pre-exascale EuroHPC supercomputer located in the Bologna Technopole, Italy. It is supplied by ATOS, based on a BullSequana XH2000 supercomputer and hosted by CINECA.

6 - Isambard-AI phase 2 supercomputer – United Kingdom
Europe’s 6th fastest supercomputer in 2025 is the Isambard-AI phase 2 supercomputer from the UK, with 1,028,160 cores and a peak theoretical performance of 278.58 PFlop/s or Petaflops. One petaflop is equal to 1 quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) calculations per second.
Isambard-AI, hosted at the University of Bristol, officially went live in July 2025. The supercomputer was built by Hewlett-Packard Enterprises (HPE) using its Cray EX architecture and fitted with over 5400 NVIDIA Grace Hopper superchips.
