With this new investment in the Defence sector, Portugal focuses on the European Defense and security market. The Baseyard Defence Hub is a company founded in Portugal by Latvian Olegs Jakovlevs and aims to begin industrial operations during the last quarter of 2026. The new industrial plant will be around 10,000 square meters, with the possibility of expanding to more than 16,000 square meters as production increases.
