Profits of Portuguese hotel group reach EUR 100 million

Portugal tourism news – The profits of Portuguese hotel group Vila Galé reach 100 million euros in 2023, that is an increase of 12%.
The Portuguese tourism sector broke new records in 2023 and had a positive impact on one of Portugal’s top hotel groups, Vila Galé, that ranks among the top 120 hotel companies in the world.
The Vila Galé group is the second largest Portuguese hotel group and it manages 42 hotels, namely 31 hotels in Portugal, 10 hotels in Brazil, and 1 hotel in Cuba, with a total of 8,432 rooms.
2023 was the best year ever for Portuguese hotel chain Vila Galé that is investing 50 million euros in 2024 for six new projects that are already underway. In 2024, the hotel group will open 3 more hotels, including one additional hotel in Brazil as well as their first hotel in Spain.
The Vila Galé group will open its first hotel in Spain in the port city of Huelva, that is in Andalusia. The hotel will be on a small island, Isla Canela, that is located in the Gulf of Cádiz, at the river mouth of the Guadiana River. From the island’s golden beaches, hotel guests will be able to see Portugal across the river.
