The first-ever European-edition of the Tribeca Festival will be held in Lisbon on October 17-19, 2024. While the Tribeca film festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2003, James Murdoch’s Lupa Systems bought a majority stake in Tribeca Enterprises in 2019. The yearly event usually attracts around 150,000 participants and it awards independent artists in 23 different film categories. The international film festival, that is co-organized by Impresa, a Portuguese media group that is traded on Euronext Lisbon, and by the Lisbon City Council (CML), is hosted by New York’s film legend Robert de Niro. Spanish company Urbania is investing in Lisbon’s prime office space in a major move towards its international expansion. Lisbon’s new coworking space, Monday, be a an eleven-story building with a 4,500 square meter flexible working space having a capacity of 600 users. The new Lisbon coworking space is being renovated by construction company Lock and by architecture and design firm Vivim Studio. The new coworking space in the heart of Lisbon, Monday, will be the largest flexible working space in the Spanish network and the opening is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. The coworking space with remain open all day every day and will provide services such as parking, booths, a gym and guided classes. The available coworking spaces will include a flexible or fixed desk in a common area, and private offices that users will be able to rent daily, weekly, or monthly. Users will also be able to benefit from professional business services such as accounting, management, and marketing, as well as from a number of events and conferences. “We have chosen the city of Lisbon for its excellent business ecosystem to transfer our concept of flexible offices,” highlighted Xavier Bassons, CEO of Monday, in a statement. Members of the new space in Portugal will also have access to the network’s coworking spaces in Spain and in Andorra. Spanish coworking space, Monday, will also open two new offices in Spain to reach a portfolio of thirteen centers with a total of 35,000 square meters having the capacity to house more than 5,000 employees. WalletConnect was awarded a grant from the Ethereum Foundation to build a protocol to enable all types of wallets and decentralized applications to connect with one another.
